Classic attractions have remained a part of Lake Winnepesaukah over the years. From the first rides aboard the antique Carrousel, originally constructed in 1916, to the early thrills on the world-famous Cannon Ball Roller Coaster, Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park’s rides are treasures to be enjoyed. The park’s first ride, The Boat Chute, was the inspiration for the modern log flume, an amusement park staple. The original Boat Chute, constructed in 1927, still delights guests today with its exciting water splashdown.
Always growing and expanding, the park has welcomed new and exciting additions year after year. The Fly-O-Plane, The Pipeline Plunge, & The Conestoga are attractions that have brought more thrills and new opportunities for unforgettable moments. In 2001, the arrival of the Wild Lightnin’ added a second coaster to Lake Winnepesaukah’s lineup. For its 80th Birthday Celebration in 2005, something special for everyone to enjoy debuted with four additions to the park’s exciting roster of rides: The Bumble Bees, The Whale, the Wave Swinger and a larger Ferris Wheel with a beautiful illuminated star.
The South’s favorite family amusement park rose to new heights of fun and excitement in 2006 when Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park dared guests to enter the OH-ZONE!, a free fall ride where guests plummet toward the ground at a breathtaking 4.6Gs!
In 2008 & 2009, the all-new Stay & Play Hideaway debuted as an interactive play area for guests of all ages to enjoy, refresh, and recoup during a day of fun at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park!
