Lake Winnepesaukah Salutes The Military On Memorial Day Lake Winnepesaukah will honor all mobilized and deployed military personnel and their families with a free day on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31, 2010. “We want to show our appreciation to those men and women who are willing to put their lives on the line for their fellow citizens and our country,” says park representative Talley Green. “We salute their efforts with a day of fun at Lake Winnepesaukah.” On Monday, May 31, those presenting an Active Duty ID card at the entrance gates will receive free gate admission and unlimited rides. The actual service person need not be present. Children must be accompanied by an adult with Active Duty identification in order to receive free gate admission and unlimited rides. Lake Winnepesaukah will be open on Memorial Day, Monday, May 31 from 12:00 noon until 8:00 p.m. For more information, call (706) 866-5681 or toll free (877) LAKEWIN.
