The Spotlight Shines on Finalists May 9th was the first of the preliminary competitions in the 2010 Lake Winnie Adult Talent Search. Lake Winnepesaukah’s Jukebox Junction stage showcased several talented performers for the Sunday afternoon contest. The 2010 Lake Winnie Adult Talent Search is a chance for guests - 18 years of age and older - to take the Jukebox Junction stage and showcase their performing arts talent. The contest consists of preliminary rounds - with the final preliminary taking place on May 23, at 5:00 p.m. - and a triumphant final round on Sunday, May 30, at 5:00 p.m. The May 9th preliminary winners were a group of talented singers. Morgan Taylor won over the crowd with her rendition of “You Ain’t Woman Enough.” Todd Waters received high praise for his performance of “Seminole Wind.” Toni McMillan had the audience’s toes-tapping with her presentation of “Independence Day.” James Kirkley took center-stage with “Me and Mrs. Jones.” Shaun Hollis’s vocals entertained with “The Man I Want To Be.” Finally, it was “The Wind Beneath My Wings” performed by Neva Thurman that took home the remaining finalist spot. “This round was a showcase of some incredible vocalists, but all of the performing arts are welcome in the competition,” offered Talley Green of Lake Winnepesaukah. The top acts from the preliminary rounds will compete in the finals for the Grand Prize which includes $500 and the chance to open for Confederate Railroad on September 5, 2010.
