Dancers, singers, magicians, comedians, and guests of all talents stepped into the spotlight at the 2009 Lake Winnie Talent Search. In the end, one shined brightest and the first-ever WinniSTAR was crowned! Fourteen year-old Lauren Suddeth of Rossville, Georgia took home top honors in the competition with her vocal performance of Carrie Underwood’s “Flat On The Floor."

All of the performing arts turned out for the competition. In the end, the top acts from the three preliminary rounds competed in the finals on August 30th for the Grand Prize which included $500 and the chance to open for Confederate Railroad on September 6, 2009 on Lake Winnepesaukah’s Jukebox Junction Stage. The runner-up at the final show – fifteen year-old Laura Plastar of Ringgold, Georgia who sang Kellie Pickler’s “I Wonder” - received $250.

2009 WinniSTAR, Lauren Suddeth, will perform at 2:30 & 7: 30 p.m. on Sunday, September 6th, as she opens for Confederate Railroad at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park. Admission to Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park is only $5.00. An Unlimited Ride Pass is available for only $21.00 and parking is always free! Guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a guest 18 or over and must purchase an all day ride pass or a value strip of 14 tickets for $12.00. Or, they must be a member of a chaperoned group. Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park has been recognized as one of “America’s Top Ten Family Amusement Parks” by Travel & Leisure Magazine.
