Lake Winnepesaukah Gets Happy with Harmony
During Country & Gospel Music Festiva

Award-winning country and gospel artists will be showcased at Lake Winnepesaukah’s Lakeside Stage during the Country & Gospel Music Festival on Sunday, August 30, from 12 noon until 8:00 p.m.

Some of Georgia’s finest musicians are members of the Georgia Country & Gospel Music Association. The concert will showcase country and gospel music from a variety of talented individuals and bands. Music of the Georgia Country & Gospel Music Association will encompass Lake Winnepesaukah Sunday, August 30, as musicians from across the state gather to share their music with park guests.

The Georgia Country & Gospel Music Association is dedicated to supporting aspiring artists, songwriters and musicians in the country, gospel and bluegrass industry. The August 30th festival will include performances by over a dozen popular acts including: Greg Finch, Out of Ashes, and Dixie Sonshine.

On the Jukebox Junction Stage, dancers, singers, magicians, comedians, and guests of all talents are encouraged to step into the spotlight at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park! The 2009 Lake Winnie Talent Search is the chance for guests - under 18 years of age - to take the stage and showcase their performing arts talent. During the August 16th preliminary round, Abigail Blake, Tori Martin, Destiny Pittman, & Caitlyn Walker all emerged as finalists with their dynamic vocal talents. The contest’s final preliminary round is August 23, at 5:00 p.m., and the triumphant final round is on Sunday, August 30, at 5:00 p.m. For more information, or to download a sign-up form, contestants are asked to visit www.lakewinnie.com/winnistar.

All concerts are free with admittance to Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park. All guests under 18 must be accompanied by a guest age 18 or over and must purchase either a combination $5.00 Gate Admission & $12.00 Value Strip of ride tickets or $5.00 Gate Admission & $21 Unlimited Ride Pass. Or, they must be a member of a chaperoned group. Guests over 18 must purchase a $5.00 Gate Admission and may choose to purchase individual ride tickets or a ride package. Children 2 and under are admitted free but must pay to ride. Parking is free. Park hours are 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday.
