Escape To An All-New Oasis of Fun At Lake Winnepesaukah!

Everyone gets to be a kid again this season at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park! The South’s favorite family amusement park has a whole new area, specially designed for guests & families of all ages to relax and play together in an inviting, natural setting. The all-new Stay & Play Hideaway is an interactive play area for guests of all ages to enjoy, refresh, and recoup during a day of fun at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park.

“The Stay & Play Hideaway harkens back to our origins,” offered Talley Green of Lake Winnepesaukah. “We started as a place to have fun and relax with family & friends in a natural setting. Built along a stream bank, the Stay & Play Hideaway is a place where kids can be kids and adults can rediscover their youth as they relax & refresh right alongside their children. It’s really a fantastic oasis of fun for everyone!”

Runaround Playground is one of the three main elements for the Stay & Play Hideaway. With fun slides & activities, Runaround Playground provides more towers and ladders than a young adventurer can maneuver in just one visit, set amongst the Lake Winnepesaukah shade trees.

Stay & Play Hideaway also includes the Chill Down Kidtown and Linger Longer. Making its debut at Lake Winnepesaukah in 2009, Chill Down Kidtown is a first of its kind playground of interactive misters and water elements, perfect for keeping cool on hot summer days. “One of the number one requests we get from our guests is for more ways to cool down in the bright southern sun,” remarked Green. “With Chill Down Kidtown, it’s instant cool … we just added water!”

The neighboring Linger Longer is the perfect shady spot for adults to sit-back and enjoy an ice cold Coca-Cola before heading back out into the park.

Lake Winnepesaukah is already home to thrills, spills, and excitement for the whole family. Known worldwide for the famous Cannon Ball roller coaster, the park also hosts family rides and attractions. Younger riders will delight on the magical Bumble Bees and the gentle Parachutes. Families can soar on the wind aboard the Wave Swinger or enjoy a leisurely countryside tour with the Antique Cars. There’s even the Wild Lightnin’ steel roller coaster and the hair-raising OH-ZONE! freefall tower.

Lake Winnepesaukah opens Saturday, April 18 for the 2009 season. Admission to Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park is only $5.00 and an unlimited ride pass is still only $21. Parking is always free! Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park has been recognized as one of “America’s Top Ten Family Amusement Parks” by Travel & Leisure Magazine.
