Dancers, singers, magicians, comedians, and guests of all talents are encouraged to step into the spotlight at Lake Winnepesaukah Amusement Park! The 2012 Lake Winnie Youth Talent Search is the chance for guests - under 18 years of age - to take the Jukebox Junction stage and showcase their performing arts talent. The contest consists of three preliminary rounds on August 5, 12, & 19, at 5:00 p.m., and a triumphant final round on Sunday, August 26, at 5:00 p.m.

“All of the performing arts are welcome,” offered Talley Green of Lake Winnepesaukah. “We want our younger guests to have a chance to perform - either as a solo act or as part of a group - for our live audience, presenting their talent at its finest.” The top acts from the two preliminary rounds will compete in the finals for the Grand Prize which includes $500 and the opportunity to open for Confederate Railroad on September 2, 2012. The runner-up at the final show will receive $250. “The winners of each round will be judged by audience response. Win over the crowd, and you could find yourself performing for the Confederate Railroad audience,” added Green. “The winner may even find themselves in front of an even larger audience! Our 2009 WinniSTAR, Lauren Alaina Suddeth, went on to become the 2011 American Idol runner-up!”
